1954 Oldsmobile Super Eighty-Eight Holiday Hardtop

The 1954 Super 88 was considered Oldsmobile's 'bread-and-butter' series; it had a base price of $2,448. This Super 88 was originally purchased on April 3, 1954 by Mildred Rassenfoss of Stockton, California. Several hundred dollars worth of convenience options were purchased, including power windows, four-way power seats, super deluxe radio, power steering, autronic-eye and power brakes.

Mrs. Rossenfoss owned the car until her death in 1967. Her three grandsons donated the car to the famous Harrah's Auto Museum in February 1968 with only 3,948 miles on the odometer. The Super 88 remained at the museum until January 1990 when it was purchased by Ronnie Keen of Clarksville, Tennessee. The odometer then read 4,216 miles.

Bought by the present owners in July, 1998 after Mr. Keen's passing, the odometer now reads a mere 4,421 miles. The interior remains completely original. Remaining with the car are original Oldsmobile sales literature and a notebook chronicling the car's history.
