1970 Chevrolet Nova Coupe

A Pennsylvania Chevrolet dealer by the name of Don Yenko had established himself as the high performance dealer in the late 1960s. A true visionary, he also saw the writing on the wall. After selling several hundred 427 Camaro's and a handful of 427 powered Chevelles and Nova's, the powers that be were on to him. With gas prices on the rise and insurance regulations tightening, he knew he had to make a move.

Knowing his way around an order sheet and having significant influence with the Chevrolet Corporate execs, he was able to create the Yenko Deuce by using the COPO, or Central Office Production Order system. Powered by a small block engine, (albeit the high compression solid lifter 360 horsepower Corvette LT1) he would built 175 and sell every one of them.

This 1970 Chevrolet Hurst Yenko Nova is one of only 50 built by Hurst at the direction of Don Yenko. It is also one of only 10 produced with the Huggar Orange paint job, a popular Camaro color. And, to make it even better, it is the only Hurst-Yenko Deuce Nova to be delivered with Hurst five-spoke magnesium wheels!

The history of this rare find is fully documented by the current owner. The original owner was Bill Denman who purchased the car from Marve Minneman Chevrolet in Youngstown, Ohio. The car has always been in Ohio and has changed owners only three times before becoming part of the current owner's trio of Huggar Orange muscle cars.

It is powered by a numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch LT1 Corvette small-block engine that develops 375 horsepower. The car's trunk contains the original factory rubber floor mats, spare tire, jack and factory jacking instructions.
