1915 Franklin Series 8 Navigation
This 1915 Series 8 Roadster was in the same family for its entire life until donated to the Crawford Auto Aviation Museum in 2007 by the wife of the grandson of the original owner - a doctor from Findlay, Ohio.
The Franklin of this era featured a wooden frame and bodies made of aluminum. The six-cylinder, 248 cubic-inch motor is air-cooled and develops 31.6 horsepower. The car averages more than 30 miles per gallon of gasoline.
Although the car's paint was removed 50 years ago in anticipation of restoration, that work was never performed. Instead, the car has been carefully maintained, with emphasis on the car's mechanics.
