1918 REO Type T Touring

It is believed that this is the sole surviving 1918 REO Model T extant. Restoration of this scarce automobile took the owner nearly 40 years, from 1967 to 2007.

In 1918, REO offered four cylinder and six cylinder models. The four-cylinder version displayed here developed approximately 35 horsepower and rode on a 120-inch wheelbase chassis. Carrying the initials of one of the automotive industry's legends, Ransom E. Olds, the REO automobile was built from 1905 until 1935 when the company focused solely on trucks.

A major mechanical improvement for 1918 was adoption of the Hotchkiss drive that replaced the torque tube. Selling price of the REO T was $1,225.

No auction information available for this vehicle at this time.
