1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental Fixed Head Coupe

This Gurney Nutting-bodied Phantom II (chassis 170 MY) has been owned by some of the most discerning motorists in the world. Its first owner was Sir Hugo Cunliffe-Owen, a director of British American Tobacco. In 1936 the car was purchased by Bentley racing driver Jack Dunfee. Rolls-Royce Phantom IIs were also owned by several other race drivers of the period. This car spent some time in the Blackhawk Collection, then was purchased by a well-known English collector, and eventually joined the collection of Formula 1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone. This one of the most famous and desirable of the 281 Phantom II Continentals built, and it has been featured in many articles.

The current owners purchased the Phantom II in 2007 at the sale of the Ecclestone Collection. It has undergone a complete body-off restoration. The completed car was put on display at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where it completed the Tour d'Elegance and subsequently judged 2nd in Class and received the Lucius Beebe Trophy, bestowed upon the most elegant Rolls-Royce. It won Best of Show at the 2009 Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance, 2010 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance, and 2010 Bay Harbor Vintage Car & Boat Festival, and the Founder's Trophy at The Elegance at Hershey in 2012. After its show tour, the owner decided to return the second rear-mounted spare to the car.
