The Wanderer W25K sports car not only looks extremely attractive but was also an unusually good performer. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche, the 2-liter six-cylinder engine developed 85 hp thanks to the use of a supercharger. The modern, American-influenced styling was derived from the Wanderer W51, the modern lines of which were to act as a starting point for the entire Auto Union model range. Around 250 Wanderer W25s were built between 1936 and 1939.
The current owner of this W25 recently purchased it from the Schlumpf Collection in France. It had been acquired by the Schlumpf brothers in 1961.
