1948 Delahaye 135 M Navigation
The Type 135 reigns as one of the most famous and prestigious Delahayes. It succeeded on the track and at the Concours. Designed in 1934, the Type 135 ran successfully in races such as the 24 Hours of LeMans, the Monte-Carlo Rally, and the Paris-Saint-Raphael race. Success came because it was both a competitive and reliable automobile.
Delahaye never built their own coachwork; this allowed free reign to anyone with a vision to create. This is a Delahaye 135 M three-position drophead by Henri Chapron, a popular French coachbuilder.
This example was completely restored in 2005 by International Restorations. The current owner exercises it regularly along the Fox River in Geneva, Illinois.
