This Ferrari 250 GT SWB is a left-hand drive, all-alloy Berlinetta Competizione. It was put on display at the 1959 Paris Auto Show before being sent to the United States where it raced in the 1960 12-Hours of Sebring and finished in 6th place overall. Other competition events included Daytona, Nassau Trophy and the Tourist Trophy.
It has been shown at the London Motor Show, the Pebble Beach Concours, and the Cavallino Classic.
It was the car that debuted at the Paris Auto show in 1959 and the first 250 GT SWB Berlinetta built. It is one of only two 250 GT SWB Berlinettas built without the later traditional air vents in the front fenders, the second car (chassis number 1613 GT) was the other. After being sold to its first owner by Luigi Chinetti, the New York Ferrari importer, it placed sixth overall in 1960 in the 12 Hour race at Sebring, Florida.
