1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Coupe

Chassis number 12065 was the 342nd examples built in the series. It left the factory finished in Celeste blue over a black interior, and was on May 17, 1969 sold directly by Ferrari SpA to the first owner, Mr. Renato Giambertone of Palermo, Italy. Mr. Giambertone retained the car until October of 1970, when the car was sold to second owner Mrs. Sara Elena Pela of Padova, Italy. In July of 1972, it left for the U.S. where it was advertised for sale in the New York Times later that month, before being purchased by Farmington Hills, Michigan resident Tord Smedberg. Mr. Smedberg kept the car until the mid-1970s, before selling 12065 to Barry Kirschner of North Woodmere, New York. By the early 1980s the Ferrari was owned by David Miller of New York, New York, who in turn sold it to Philip Goutell, proprietor of Used Ferraris, Inc. Stan Zagorski, also a New York enthusiast, later owned the 365, and after several subsequent changes of ownership it was acquired by its current Maryland-based Ferrari enthusiast owner in the early 2000s.

Between 2007 and 2012, the car was re-trimmed, refinished in the original Celeste Blue, and refurbished mechanically. Currently, the car has no less than three FCA Platinum Awards, three FCA Best in Class Awards, and four FCA Special Merit Awards. It has been driven regularly on tours and events, even crossing the United States a few times.
