1956 OSCA MT4 TN Navigation
This is the next-to-last of the 78 OSCA MT4s built by the Maserati brothers' OSCA factory. It was fitted with the final version of the 4-cylinder, 1500cc, twin-cam engine. The first owner of the car was 'Gentleman' Jim Kimberly, who campaigned the car very successfully throughout the United States in 1956. The number 5 was Kimberly's traditional racing number. The car won outright at the Road America endurance race in 1956, driven by Kimberly with co-driver Carroll Shelby. Shelby autographed the car in 2006 at the paddock at Lime Rock. Denise McCluggage and Kimberly drove the car at the 1956 Nassau Speed Week. The car then came in 3rd (1957) and 1st (1957) in class at Sebring, driven by Otto Linton, Hal Stetson and Harry Beck, beating out a field of Porsches. It also scored a win at Marlboro in 1958. It is now driven actively on the track and in such events as the California Mille.
