1960 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Roadster

This Alfa Romeo 2000 is a US-delivery model, distinguishable from European cars by two features in particular: the spacing of the hood scoops – which are close together on the US cars but separated on the European cars – and the side trim which consists of a single lower strip as opposed to the two full-length strips also found on the European model. The instrumentation is labeled in English and it has a MPH speedometer. In 2006, it was given a repaint in its original red color. The leather interior is original and in good condition. There is a correct black canvas top that was replaced in 2006.

In 2010, this Touring bodied Spider was offered for sale at Gooding & Company's auction held in Amelia Island, Florida. The car was expected to sell for $35,000 - $50,000 and offered without reserve. As bidding came to a close, the car had been sold for the sum of $39,600, inclusive of buyer's premium.
