The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, 'Occupant Crash Protection.' |
Consequence | An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury during a crash. |

Summary | Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) (Stellantis) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The wiring harness may have a poor connection, which can cause the left taillight and left turn signal to become inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, 'Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.' |
Consequence | An inoperative left turn signal may not notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, and an inoperative left taillight can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash. |
Remedy | The remedy is under development. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed May 9, 2024. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Consequence | A partially engaged park pawl can result in a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. |
Remedy | Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, and inspect and replace, as necessary, the transmission or components within the transmission, free of charge.
