• Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster, Award-Winning '69 Camaro SS Highlight Display

Charlotte, N.C. (March 5, 2015) -- Joining an elite class of rare and classic automobiles, RK Motors today announced plans to display five rare collector cars at the Festivals of Speed at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort.

Taking place March 14 in Amelia Island, Florida, the Festival Saturday will feature more than 100 exotic cars placed for display on a pristine fairway. Automotive designs by Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Aston-Martin, BMW, Mercedes, TESLA, McLaren and more will be featured.

Accompanying those exotics will be five cars hand-picked from the RK Motors collection, and currently for sale through RK Motors. These include:

◾2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster: The CLK GTR was originally designed as a racecar to compete against Porsche and BMW in the 1997 FIA GT Championship series. As one of only six in existence, the CLK GTR Roadster is one of the rarest and most sought after modern day supercars ever produced. The CLK will also be on display on Friday evening, at the Festivals of Speed Luxury Lifestyle Cocktail Reception by the Grand Ballroom at Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort.

◾1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS: Named one of the Top 5 Chevrolets at SEMA by The BLOCK, this 1969 Camaro was fully restored in 2014 and includes custom suspension, leather-lined interior and a 427 cubic-inch LS7 V8 engine.

◾1970 Dodge Charger R/T: A multi-year build project that preserves the 1968-1970 Dodge Charger body style while incorporating modern components and includes black leather bucket seats, an Indy Cylinder Head 500 V8 Wedge engine and fully upgraded suspension.

◾1970 Dodge Charger R/T: Dubbed 'Maximum Effect II,' this cruiser is the sister project to the storied 'Maximum Effect,' a 1970 Charger that was featured at the 2010 Mopar Nationals.

◾1967 Chevrolet Nova 'Innovator': Winner of the GoodGuys 2011 'Street Machine of the Year' award, this classic Chevrolet was completely redesigned and rebuilt in 2010.

'These five vehicles were selected especially for this prestigious Festivals of Speed because they personify the best in custom design, interior styling and power performance,' said Jeff Spiegel, director of marketing for RK Motors. 'We're honored to participate in this prestigious event and are proud to have the opportunity to showcase these automobiles.'
