California-based artist Tom Fritz has created the poster art for the 2016 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance honoring multiple Sebring 12 Hour and Le Mans 24 Hour winner Hans Stuck. This is Fritz's second Amelia Concours poster.

Fritz's first Amelia poster in 2014 honored Jochen Mass featuring his 1989 Le Mans-winning Mercedes-Sauber, Spanish Grand Prix-winning McLaren and World Champion Porsche 935 Turbo. Fritz is one of just ten famous artists to create poster art for the Amelia Concours since its founding 21 years ago. Fritz's poster art for the 21st annual Amelia Concours features the ever-smiling Stuck and a quartet of his most famous winning racers.

'Tom Fritz is one of those gifted and sensitive artists who can translate the subtle essence of both cars and people on canvas,' said Bill Warner, founder and Chairman of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. 'It's a rare and unusual talent. Very few photographers have the ability, and we have the camera to do the heavy lifting.'

'Stuck's first American race was the 1975 12 Hours of Sebring in a BMW 3.0 CSL he, Brian Redman, Sam Posey and Alan Moffett won it despite being seriously outnumbered. It was also BMW Motorsport's first international win,' said Warner. 'That BMW CSL, the actual 1975 Sebring winner, will be part of the Cars of Hans Stuck class.'

Fritz's 2016 Amelia poster also shows Stuck's 1986 Sebring 12 Hour-winning Porsche 962 in its famous red Coca-Cola livery and his 1993 North American GT Championship-winning Porsche 911 Turbo LM, a Sebring class winner, as well.

Stuck's versatility advanced his career all the way to Formula 1. By 1977 he was part of the Brabham F1 team. The fourth racer on Fritz's 2016 Amelia poster is Stuck's 1977 Brabham BT45-B powered by an Alfa Romeo 12-cyliner engine.

'I watched Hans lead the 1977 US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen racing the Brabham/Alfa in the rain against a field that included six World Champions,' said Warner. 'He led until the gear shift linkage broke. Hans was magical in the wet. I think we're going to have some serious fun when 'Stuckie' arrives at the Ritz-Carlton!'
