MELBOURNE – V8 Supercar championship leader Michael Caruso continued his strong form aboard his Nissan Altima at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix support races at Albert Park this weekend.
Michael Caruso finished the weekend's fourth race in fifth position to cap off a weekend of consistent progress as he finished 11th, 10th, eighth and fifth in the No.23 Altima.
'It wasn't a bad race today today,' said Caruso on Sunday. 'We jumped up a few spots. We tried a few things to the car and it was a good learning curve. It wasn't as good as it was the day before, but the great thing about this event is that we had the opportunity to try some things. So to do that and race up the front is great preparation as we head to Tasmania.'
Rick Kelly also recorded two top 10 results in the final two races as the team now prepares the four-car Nissan Altima fleet for the second round of the championship at Tasmania's Symmons Plains circuit on April 2 to 3.
