In a celebration of contemporary automotive engineering, Pirelli has confirmed that it will return to Salon Privé to sponsor the Prestige & Performance Competition on Saturday September 3rd, following the success of last year's event.
The modern-day twist on a Concours d'Elégance drew over 5,000 guests to the inaugural Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition in 2015. Fans were able to experience the sights, sounds and smells of some fabulous vehicles first-hand, as the likes of the Ferrari LaFerrari took part in the Pirelli-backed event.
Presented in The Great Court and paraded through Blenheim Palace's beautiful grounds, the selection of cars is firmly focused on more modern machinery, covering everything from 80's Italian exotica, through to the latest and greatest hypercars.
Acting, once again, as a centrepiece to Salon Privé's public day, the 80 outstanding cars will be judged in eight classes during the competition, with the very best crowned as winners on the day. As the celebration draws to a close, visitors get to experience the drama of these cars departing the glorious Blenheim Palace grounds.
Pirelli UK Managing Director Dominic Sandivasci: 'We are delighted to be working with Salon Privé once again. Last year the event, which saw some truly beautiful cars on show, was a real success. The Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition aligns with our values, focuses on the prestige market and is indeed a perfect fit for us.'
Early entries are led by a 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster, which is set to compete in The Wind in Your Hair class, alongside a 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante. Also confirmed for the competition is a McLaren 650S Spider, which will participate in the Speed & Style category.
Visitors are able to enter the Saturday's Prestige & Performance show on a public Blenheim Palace 'Park & Gardens' ticket, costing £14.90. This ticket also allows guest to explore the World Heritage Site's extensive parklands and formal gardens, making the visit a great family day out.
For those wanting the full Salon Privé experience, there is the opportunity to purchase advance tickets to include the exclusive enclosure on the South Lawn. This provides a lobster luncheon and Pommery champagne, as well as access to the fabulous manufacturer displays of hypercars, supercars and classic cars and, not forgetting, the amazing array of high-end luxury brands and products.
Further entries to the Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition will be announced shortly.
