The coachbuilder will have multiple examples of its Shelby continuation cars on display at the Concours on the Avenue on August 21 and Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival on August 22 including two of the 10 GT500CR 900S models to be built.

Yukon, Okla. (August, 2018) – Oklahoma-based custom car builder Classic Recreations announced that, for the first time, it will showcase several officially-licensed Shelby Mustang continuation cars at events taking place during Monterey Car Week. Guests at the Concours on the Avenue and Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival events will have a chance to see these one-of-a-kind high-performance vehicles up close, including a GT500CR 545 and a rare GT500CR 900S.

Classic Recreations will have its Shelby GT500CR 545 and 900S fastbacks on display at Concours on the Avenue on Tuesday, August 21. Open to the public, Carmel-by-the-Sea's world-famous Ocean Avenue will be closed to traffic from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and lined with hundreds of collector cars from around the world. The following day, at Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival, Classic Recreations will have two of the 10 planned Shelby GT500CR 900S Mustangs, a coupe and convertible, on display. One of the world's most exclusive lifestyle events, Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival will feature high-end luxury lifestyle goods as well as a roster of A-list celebrities, VIP guests and auto enthusiasts.

Powered by a 475 horsepower 5.0-liter 'Coyote' crate engine, the Shelby GT500CR 545 Mustang combines modern performance with the iconic looks of the original Shelby GT500. Other modern features include authentic Shelby Performance Parts, rack and pinion steering, race inspired coil over suspension, oversized disc brakes, and more. The Shelby GT500CR 900S is the most powerful car in the Classic Recreations lineup, sporting a 790 horsepower supercharged 427-cubic inch V8 engine. With an advanced multi-link race car-inspired suspension, a luxurious interior and modern turn-key reliability, the GT500CR 900S brings a supercar-level driving experience to the classic fastback and convertible. Each Classic Recreations Mustang is registered as an official Shelby, with its serial number being added to the Shelby Registry upon completion and is built from an original 1967 or 1968 car.

'Attending both the Concours on the Avenue and Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival for the first time is truly a special moment for Classic Recreations,' said Classic Recreations owner Jason Engel. 'Monterey Car Week brings together the world's rarest and most prestigious vehicles, and we are honored to be a part of that tradition.'
