The importance of Suzuki's established apprenticeship programme becomes even more relevant as the brand makes plans to launch its first fully electric vehicle later in 2025 with the additional specialist knowledge needed in its dealerships.

Suzuki GB PLC has recently commemorated the annual graduation of its automobile and motorcycle apprentice technicians as well as customer service advisors and aftersales parts consultants. The ceremony was held once again at The British Motor Museum at Gaydon, Warwickshire.

A total of 29 individuals successfully completed the programme in 2024, marking the successful completion of their apprenticeships.

Each of the employees from Suzuki's nationwide dealer networks undertook a combination of practical on-the-job learning and expert tuition at the Suzuki-run Doncaster training centre in South Yorkshire.

The newly qualified students travelled to the West Midlands to receive their certificates from Suzuki GB's Managing Director, Takanori Suzuki, and Director of Aftersales, Denis Houston. Also in attendance were members of the Suzuki Board of Management, Suzuki Senior Management as well the apprentices' families and their employers within the wider Suzuki Family.

Takanori Suzuki, Managing Director Suzuki GB PLC, said: 'The graduation ceremony is the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication. It is always a proud moment for not only the apprentices themselves, but also for their families and employers who have played a pivotal role in supporting each of the individuals. They should all be commended for the great lengths that they have gone to in order to enable the learning and development of these young trainees. Specialist training in higher voltage hybrid and fully electric vehicles is now also paramount for the future of Suzuki and its dealer network.'

He added: 'We would like to congratulate the graduates on their achievement, and they are certainly destined for very bright futures as they continue their professional careers within our dealerships.'
