Renault Group is celebrating after winning a duo of business-focused accolades at last night's prestigious Fleet News Awards 2025, including the highly coveted trophy for 'Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer'.
In addition to the award that haloed the performance and suitability of the whole Renault Group corporate offering, spanning the team to its vehicles, the Renault Megane E-Tech electric underlined its winning formula of pure-electric efficiency and usability by being named 'Best Compact Car'.
Renault's all-electric E-Tech range won further praise with the Scenic E-Tech electric being 'Highly commended' in the competitive 'Best Mid-Size SUV' category.
The industry website declared Renault Group its 'Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer' after being won over by the much-enhanced commitment demonstrated to fleet buyers coupled with a strong and varied model line-up.
Its expert judges said: 'New people at the top have created a culture of fleet support perfectly timed to coincide with an outstanding range of electric models for both cars and vans. With more models to come, including from Dacia and Alpine, Renault Group has reorganised its business strategy and can expect huge demand from the business community.'
With the Megane E-Tech electric having amassed a strong fleet following since its introduction in 2020, the 'Best Compact Car' award reaffirms how it continues to be unrivalled in what it provides to business customers buying vehicles of its size, regardless of how it's powered.
On their reasons for awarding the stylish all-electric hatchback, the Fleet News judges commented: 'The best all-rounder in its class, Renault has achieved a great balance between fleet and driver with a well-priced car and extensive range that drives well. The Megane has been an unsung hero, but it is the catalyst that changed Renault's fortunes in fleet.'
Justin Costello, Head of Fleet at Renault Group, said: 'We are absolutely thrilled to accept these awards. To be 'Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer' is fantastic recognition for our team's efforts over the last 12 months to deliver an enhanced service during such an important transitional period for fleet buyers. The support and package that Renault Group has to offer fleets is now stronger than ever, with an ever-growing line-up of all-electric cars from Renault, Dacia and Alpine coupled with a full LCV range that includes such highlights as the acclaimed New Master and Dacia Spring Cargo – the commercial version of the UK's most affordable electric car.
'What's particularly rewarding is that while a lot of recent focus and excitement has been on new all-electric models such as the Renault 5, Dacia Spring and Alpine A290, the 'Best Compact Car' Award shows that Megane continues to shine for fleet buyers.'
He continued: 'With so many new models and technologies across the Renault Group we're eager to invite fleet customers to make contact with our team to arrange an introductory meeting and book test drive vehicles so we can demonstrate the benefits and value of the Renault Group proposition.'
