AUBURN, Indiana (April 28, 2014) – The final countdown is underway to Auctions America's largest Auburn Spring event to date, May 8 – 10 at the historic Auburn Auction Park in Indiana. During three full days of auction action, approximately 900 collector cars are expected to cross the block, joined by a diverse selection of memorabilia. In keeping with the company's commitment to cater for both veteran hobbyists and entry-level collectors, the auction offering spans the spectrum of the market, presenting something for all automotive tastes and budgets.

Setting the scene for a bigger and better Auburn Spring in 2014, this year's event will see Auburn, the classic car capital of America, return to a national stage, with NBCSN telecasting from the Auburn Auction Park, May 8 – 10. The Auburn Spring telecast represents the first in Auctions America's new multi-year agreement with the Emmy Award-winning network. AUCTION HIGHLIGHTS

In addition to the much publicized John Scotti Collection, recently secured highlights for Auburn Spring are led by a rare, well-maintained and highly original 1939 Packard Twelve Touring Cabriolet by Brunn. Body number one of a believed two Style 4086 closed-roof cabriolets built in 1939, this example was reportedly delivered new through Packard's 'dealer to the stars,' Earle C. Anthony, whose Los Angeles dealership sold more new Packards than any other in the world. A very authentic example, which still wears what is believed to be its factory coat of black lacquer, it has passed through a chain of well-respected collectors over the years, each ensuring the car was carefully preserved. Its upcoming sale marks a terrific opportunity to acquire one of the rarest of the rare from the final year of the V-12 Packard.

Demonstrating the diversity of the offering, additional new entries for the sale include:

• a superbly restored 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 427/435 Roadster, finished in Silver Pearl with a black stinger and equipped with a 427ci V-8 engine producing 435hp, along with desirable four-speed transmission, factory removable hard top and headrests, power steering and brakes;

• a 1955 Ford 'Glass Wonder' Show Car Roadster, a rare, one-off, hand-laid fiberglass special, well-known from recent display at the esteemed Petersen Museum in Los Angeles;

• a highly desirable barn find 1954 Jaguar XK 120SE Drop Head Coupe that recently emerged from a Georgian barn after being tucked away since the 1970s; and,

• a 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 VOI.9 Edition Coupe, the last of only 100 built and one of just 16 made with the Prefix option.

COMPLETE HOBBY WEEKEND

Auburn Spring not only offers something for everyone on the auction block, but a complete hobby weekend for enthusiasts, with this year's event also featuring a car corral and swap meet, along with the AACA's Special National Spring Meet, which is set to bring an additional 300 cars to the grounds of the Auburn Auction Park.

Auctions America's support for the AACA at Auburn Spring will also extend to the presentation of five vehicles at the auction, with hammer proceeds from their sale benefiting the AACA Museum. The group is led by an HPOF-certified, survivor example 1959 Pontiac Star Chief Vista Sedan, which has been in single family ownership from new.
