1950 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn Drophead Coupe

Rolls-Royce's new Silver Dawn was first exhibited at the International World's Fair at Toronto. In breaking with the company's chauffeur-driven car tradition, the Silver Dawn was designed as an owner driven car. Another break from tradition was the standard bodywork using pressed steel panels welded together, which allowed for a much greater reduction in its cost. The 'standard steel' body was produced by the Pressed Steel Fisher Company which had first been only available on the Bentley MK VI.

This rare 1950 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn DHC (drop head coupe) is one of only five left-hand examples bodied by Park Ward. It has only 16,000 original miles.
