Alfa Romeo Sport Sedan

Alfa Romeo dropped the Alfetta name in 1978 and introduced the Sports Sedan. It was available with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a three-speed automatic. Power remained the same; the engine was a 1962cc four-cylinder unit with an aluminum block and offering 111 horsepower. In the front was a unequal-length control arms and torsion bar suspension setup with a DeDion rear axle fitted with coil springs and a Watts linkage. Pricing for the Sports Sedan began at nearly $8000. It rose to $9,700 for 1979.

Standard equipment included an electric clock, tinted glass, and a heated rear window. Leather interior and a sunroof was available for an additional fee.
