QUAKER STATE TO SUPPORT HYUNDAI SHELL WORLD RALLY TEAM AT 2015 RALLY MEXICO

MARCH 2, 2015 - Quaker State will support the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team during the third round of FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) set in the alluring mountains of Guanajuato, Mexico. Between March 5th and March 8th, 2015, Quaker State will be featured on the Hyundai i20 WRC cars, as well as the Hyundai Motorsport hospitality unit.

Since 2014, Shell has been the Title Partner and Official Lubricant Supplier of Hyundai Shell World Rally Team, supplying the team with lubricants at every event on the WRC calendar, as well as for testing and development. Part of the Shell portfolio of motor oils in North America and the number one motor oil brand in Mexico, Quaker State is the only lubricant recommended by Hyundai in North America and will support the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team exclusively for the Mexican round of the championship.

Quaker State branding will appear on the livery of the competing Hyundai i20 WRC cars driven by Thierry Neuville, Dani Sordo and Hayden Paddon from Shakedown on Thursday. In addition, the brand logo will adorn the Hyundai hospitality unit at the WRC Service Park in Léon throughout the week.

The collaboration with Hyundai Motorsport underlines Quaker State's position as Hyundai's preferred aftermarket motor oil supplier in North America and is an exciting and fitting addition to the brand's already impressive range of motorsport partnerships. Quaker State has been involved in NASCAR for more than 18 years with some of the most recognizable NASCAR drivers and teams, collaborating to win championship titles at each of the three levels of NASCAR, as well as 10 Sprint Cup Championships. Quaker State has also helped power IndyCar drivers like Mexico's Adrián Fernández to victory.

One of the most popular events of the season, Rally Mexico represents an ideal platform for Quaker State to demonstrate its motorsport pedigree to the thousands of avid fans that flock to Léon every year, not to mention the millions of rally enthusiasts following on TV and online all around the world.

Rally Mexico was the scene of the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team's maiden podium in their debut season 12 months ago, with Belgian bullet Thierry Neuville claiming a superlative third place. With a second place finish to their name already this year at Rally Sweden, the team will hope to continue the string of positive results it has achieved over the last year in Guanajuato.
