1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio

The 1987 Alfa Romeo was offered in three trim levels including the Spider Veloce, Spider Graduate, and Spider Quadrifoglio. The entry level was the graduate which had a base price of $14,000 while the Quadrifoglio was the top-of-the-line with a base price of $20,500. Powering all trim levels was a dual-overhead-cam four-cylinder engine with lightweight aluminum block and head, and a displacement of 119.7 cubic-inches. The 115 horsepower produced was sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. Steering was by worm-and-roller, and disc brakes were placed at all four corners.

The Quadrifoglio had graced the U.S. line beginning in 1986, with Quadrifoglio meaning 'Clover Leaf,' and was the logo for Alfa Romeo's racing activates. Additional options included an air-conditioning system, aerodynamic trim pieces, AM/FM stereo radio with cassette player, Pirelli P6 tires, and aluminum wheels. Buyers had the option of purchased the 2-door convertible with or without a Pininfarina hardtop. The hardtop was a $900 option and included a rear defogger.
