Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Announces New Engineered To Go Conversions•New off-the-shelf conversions offered include Tippers, Dropsides and Lutons

•Engineered To Go programme launches with Crafter chassis cab

•Specialist converter Ingimex will produce first raft of new Crafter products

•Additional conversions will be extended to cover Transporter and Caddy in future

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced details of its new Engineered To Go programme that offers off-the-shelf conversions to even more businesses.

Launching with a host of conversions on the Crafter model, the new programme kicks off with a range of Dropside, Tipper and Luton products available to buy direct from the standard price list.

The revamped scheme will eventually cover the range of Caddy, Transporter and Crafter models with numerous derivatives including fridge/freezer conversions, minibuses and a service workshop.

Specialist converter Ingimex will produce the first raft of Engineered To Go Crafter products, designed to the latest European design standards. The Dropside, available as a single and double cab, is modified ready for the addition of fall arrest rails or tail lifts with prices starting from £31,470 (ex VAT).

The Tipper, also in single and double cab form, starts from £33,310 (ex VAT) and is tough, safe and versatile with the tipper functions controlled by wander lead. The single cab Luton, from £36,220 (ex VAT), has a unique four-tier load restraint system for deck lashing, standard load lock lashing or for use with optional Ingimex telescopic load pole.

The Engineered To Go programme is designed to provide customers with high quality converted products through Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' dedicated network of Van Centres. The new scheme offers an easy way for customers to get the conversions that they want, plus a single invoice, matching vehicle/conversion warranty and peace of mind.
