NISSAN PRODUCTION, SALES AND EXPORT RESULTS FOR FEBRUARY 2015YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for February 2015.

1. Production

Nissan's global production in February decreased 9.5% year-on-year to 382,237 units.

Production in Japan decreased 2.2% year-on-year to 85,239 units.

Production outside of Japan decreased 11.5% year-on-year to 296,998 units.

In the U.S., production decreased 7.5% year-on-year to 74,883 units, mainly due to the impact of a model change and other factors.

In Mexico, production increased 0.9% year-on-year to 65,464 units, marking a record high for the month of February, mainly due to an increase in production volume of the Sentra (known as the Sylphy in Japan).

In the U.K., production decreased 16.4% year-on-year to 40,263 units.

In Spain, production decreased 20.3% year-on-year to 11,555 units.

In China, production decreased 33.4% year-on-year to 47,855 units.

Production in other regions was up 3.5% year-on-year to 56,978 units.

2. Sales

Global sales decreased 1.7% year-on-year to 416,579 units.

Sales in Japan, including mini-vehicles, declined 21.5% year-on-year to 64,715 units.

Vehicle registrations in Japan were down 24.9% year-on-year to 40,322 units.

Mini-vehicle sales in Japan decreased 15.1% year-on-year to 24,393 units.

Sales outside of Japan were up 3.0% year-on-year to 351,864 units.

In the U.S., sales increased 2.7% year-on-year to 118,436 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of February, mainly due to an increase in sales volume of the Rogue (known as the X-Trail in Japan) and the Sentra (known as the Sylphy in Japan).

In Mexico, sales increased 23.2% year-on-year to 25,409 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of February, mainly due to higher sales volume of the X-Trail and the Versa (known as the Latio in Japan). Nissan has been the sales leader in Mexico for 69 consecutive months.

In Europe, sales increased 1.0% year-on-year to 58,726 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of February, mainly due to a net increase in sales volume of the new Pulsar.

In China, sales were down 2.4% year-on-year to 70,199 units.

Sales in other regions increased 3.7% year-on-year to 71,036 units.

3. Japan Exports

Nissan's exports in January increased 29.1% year-on-year to 50,105 units, mainly due to an increase in export volume of the X-Trail.
