TOYO TIRES® JOINS RED SOX NATION AS THE OFFICIAL TIRE OF THE BOSTON RED SOX®

CYPRESS, CA – Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. is proud to announce that Toyo Tires® is the Official Tire of the Boston Red Sox® baseball club. The Boston Red Sox are eight-time World Series champions and are considered the fourth winningest team in Major League Baseball since 2002.

The multi-year agreement includes Toyo Tires signage in Fenway Park, the oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball® (MLB®). The company will also promote the Official Tire designation through marketing efforts, including in dealerships and advertising in the New England area, as well as a national promotion that kicks off in May on RedSox.com.

The Red Sox hold the longest sellout streak in the history of American professional sports (820 home games), and have the largest geographic market in MLB with six states and 14-million people. With a huge social media presence, the Red Sox are the most searched and most visited website in MLB. They boast the second largest social media following among MLB clubs, with 7.2-million fans in the New England area alone.

On a global level, the Boston Red Sox were the third most attended sports organization in the world with over 3 million visitors in 2014. They also have the third largest international fan base in MLB at 18.7 million. Forbes ranked the Red Sox the #6 most valuable sports brand in the world.
