1960 Citroen Projet C-60

This vehicle was intended to possibly fit between the CV and the DS. The Ami 6 had been constructed to fill this spot, but never really materialized. The C 60 was wider and longer than the Ami and used many of its styling cues such as the controversial, yet ingenious raked rear window. The front end was inspired by the DS. Other area's borrowed from the DS was the interior dash board.

The styling of the vehicle was courtesy of Flaminio Bertoni, who had also created the Traction, 2CV, DS and Ami 6.

Power was expected to come from a flat four-cylinder, air-cooled engine in either 1100cc or 1400cc displacement size. The cost of project continued to escalate and nearly brought the Citroen company to a close.

The Citroen C-60 never went into serious production. It was abandoned in favour of the Project F.
