2002 Factory Five Racing Type 65 Coupe

The FFR Type 65 Coupe is the culmination of four years of engineering and design work. The first prototype was completed in the spring of 2000 and production of chassis kits began September 2000. In it's design, you will find all of the benefits of our racing programs in a package that is surprisingly streetable. The Coupe is a rendition of the famous world championship coupes of the 60's, but with the best modern technologies under the skin. In July of 2000, our first car was tested by Car and Driver magazine. After running the car through the standard testing procedure, C/D Technical editor Larry Webster had this to say of the FFR Coupe.

'The phrase 'eye-ball sucking performance' is a tired, overused metaphor, but it should have been saved for the FFR Coupe. Galloping to 60 mph takes only 3.6 seconds. Bye-bye, Porsche 911 Turbo! The quarter mile passes in only 11.9 seconds at 119 mph, faster than a Dodge Viper GTS.'
