1987 Mercedes-Benz 420

The 1987 Mercedes-Benz 420 SEL 4-door sedan sold for $52,000 and was powered by an overhead-cam eight-cylinder engine. It had a displacement size of 256 cubic inches and offered 200 horsepower. A four-speed automatic was standard and there were disc brakes in both the front and the rear.

The 420-Series was new for 1986 and it had a turbo-diesel counterpart - the 300SDL. Both had a 121.1-inch wheelbase. The 3-liter six-cylinder diesel engine offered 150 horsepower.
