Chassis #: 8C 2311229
This 8C 2300 is commonly known as an Alfa Romeo Wynn-Bamford Special. It has been treated to a recent restoration, as it was found in a garage in need of repair. It had lived in the garage for fifty years and still retained many of its original components.

Chassis number 2311229 was not a Monza, but rather a drophead coupe constructed on a long chassis. The original coachwork is believed to have been done by Castagna. The very early history of this vehicle is not known. During the early 1950s, the engine was replaced with a Mercury V8. It was raced during 1950; at the conclusion of the season, the body was removed and replaced with one created by Adolf Deutsch. The car came into the possession of Tom Bamford and Keenan Wynn. A Cadillac engine now resides in the engine bay.
