1990 Buick Reatta

A convertible version of the Reatta was introduced in the spring of 1990. It featured a manual-operated top with a glass backlight plus a standard defogger. Buick listed the convertible for $35,000 and a total of 2,132 were produced. The hard tonneau cover was power released with a power top pull-down. Buick made the convertible top available in two fabric choices: vinyl and Sta-fast cloth.

The Reatta came standard with auxiliary transmission cooler, instrument panel design with dark finish trim plates, analog gauges, integral radio and bush-button climate controls. They also had door-mounted window/mirror controls with theater lighting, console with armrest, coin holder, cassette storage and ashtray, push-button headlamp switch, steering wheel with SIRS, multi-function lever with cruise control and wiper/washer controls and 'pass key' anti-theft system.

Buick improved the rear speakers along with the 2000 series AM/FM radio with cassette and graphic equalizer. A compact disc player was also available.
