The 1984 Jaguar XJ6 Series III Sedan sold for the sum of $31,100 while the Vanden Plas Sedan sold for $34,200. Powering the XJ6 was a dual overhead cam six-cylinder engine displacing 258 cubic-inches and offering nearly 180 horsepower. They had a GM THM-400 80 three-speed automatic gearbox and disc brakes in both the front and rear. Inside, the car was well appointed with wood dashboard trim and leather-faced seats. They came standard with power steering, power sunroof, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, AM/FM steering radio with cassette player and power antenna, intermittent wipers, power windows and mirrors, tinted glass, central door locking, power driver's seat, and an adjustable steering column.
