NEW TIGRA GAINS MATERIAL COVERAGE

Tigra Sport Rouge – Hot and Exciting

• New-look fabric roof

• From £15,705

2009 Vauxhall Tigra• Available to order now

Hot off the catwalk the stylish Sport Rouge is the latest edition to the Tigra range featuring a dynamic new change to the drop top roof.

The new Sport Rouge replaces the Sport model, and features a whole host of standard equipment from only £15,705. Perhaps the most eye-catching feature is its roof which is now covered in a stylish Bordeaux Red coloured fabric. Designed to appeal to those who love the look of a fabric soft top but who also want the convenience, security and safety of a hard top, the Sport Rouge offers the best of both worlds. As with all Tigras, the new-look roof can be raised or lowered in just 20 seconds.

This edition is available in four body colours - Metro Blue, Star Silver, Flame Red or Black Sapphire - and comes as standard with central locking, electrically adjustable door mirrors, CD player and steering wheel mounted controls. Also standard are 16' alloy wheels, an aux-in MP3 player jack and Sports seats.

If that's not enough you can upgrade to a choice of 17 inch alloy wheels, a full leather pack and rear parking sensors, or even a stylish VXR pack to make your car really stand out from the crowd.

Offered with a choice of three engines – the nippy 1.4 litre and 1.8 litre petrols, and the economical 1.3 diesel - prices range from £15,705 to £17,195.

GET AN EXCLUSIV AND BE WELL RED WITH SPECIAL NEW TIGRA

• New Tigra Exclusiv Red edition from just £15,515

• Extras worth up to £1,350 for no additional cost

• Bold and striking red leather interior and unique alloy wheel finish

2009 Vauxhall TigraWith spring just around the corner, every driver dreams of catching some rays in a stylish and dynamic drop top. Now there is a way to get the most Exclusiv roadster on the street at a surprisingly affordable price.

The new Tigra Exclusiv Red edition is based on the Sport model, but features an extra £1,350 worth of goodies for no additional cost.

Perhaps Tigra Exclusiv Red's most distinct feature is the bold interior. The two seats and door trim inserts are trimmed in scarlet leather, and the red treatment is even mirrored in the gear lever surround. This is complemented with the usual classy fixtures you would expect from Tigra such as a leather covered steering wheel, alloy effect centre console and gear knob insert.

It's not just the interior which gets the Exclusiv look. This special Tigra is available in three metallic or pearlescent colours, Metro Blue, Star Silver and Black Sapphire, each with the distinctive silver-finish targa roof bar. The Tigra Exclusiv Red also sits on uniquely-finished 17-inch alloy wheels.

As with all Tigras, it's not just the sunny weather which makes the Exclusiv Red shine. The hard top roof raises up in just 20 seconds to make the car as snug and secure as a coupe, and the leather seats are heated to make open top driving even more comfortable during cooler months. If the sun gets too hot, then air conditioning is standard to make sure you can keep looking – and feeling – cool.

A choice of two petrol engines are available, a nippy 1.4-litre and a punchy 1.8-litre. Both are available now from Vauxhall retailers, with prices starting at £15,515.

GO TOPLESS - WHATEVER THE WEATHER!

2009 Vauxhall Tigra
· Tigra offers year-round fun
· New Exclusiv model in retailers now
· Tigra debuts in Australia and South Africa!2009 Vauxhall Tigra
It's always summer somewhere, and while we British are nibbling away at yet more turkey sandwiches and huddling in front of the fire, our cousins in the southern hemisphere are firing up the barbie and trying to find new ways to stay cool in the mid-summer heat.

2009 Vauxhall Tigra
Such is the broad appeal of New Tigra, with its stylish design and excellent driving dynamics, that the baby coupe-cabriolet has just gone on sale in both sun-drenched South Africa, as an Opel, and Australia, where it's badged as a Holden.

2009 Vauxhall TigraOur Aussie friends get only one version of Tigra, however, and that's the gutsiest

1.8-litre petrol variant. Here in the ÚK, with more congested roads and fewer wide open spaces, Vauxhall offers a greater choice of models, including a frugal diesel. The range has now been further bolstered by the addition of a new ‘Exclusiv' Special Edition, which offers unrivalled levels of style, equipment and value for money.

While we in the ÚK are unlikely to see temperatures getting anywhere near double figures until the spring, the Tigra Exclusiv is a car you'll want to be seen in whatever the weather. That's no problem, as like all Tigras the new addition is a warm and snug coupe with the roof up, or in just 20 seconds can be switched into convertible mode – just the thing if you want a bracing winter drive to clear your mind after the Christmas excesses. So while Australian and South African Tigra owners are topping up their tans in the searing summer heat, you can still enjoy the thrills of winter wind-in-the hair motoring, especially thanks to the Exclusiv's heated leather sports seats.

Other standard kit includes air conditioning, 17-inch five-spoke sports alloy wheels, a CD30 stereo radio CD with MP3 capability, a remote control ultrasonic security alarm, leather sports steering wheel, alloy trimmed pedals, gearknob and handbrake grip, front fog lights and a smart Star Silver targa roof hoop.

Even better, the price is no different to that of the Tigra Sport. That means the Exclusiv kicks off at £14,485 for the 1.4i Sport, rising to £15,695 for either the 1.8i Sport or 1.3 CDTi.

It's not just the sunshine we have to look forward to in the spring either. The Tigra will get a big brother when the Astra TwinTop arrives in April, offering coupe style, drop-top looks and space for four. Like the Tigra, it promises to keep drivers looking cool, whatever the weather.
