NISSAN IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AS ATHLETES RIDE TO GLORY AT THE 2016 MULLER ANNIVERSARY GAMES

◾Nissan announces it is throwing its weight behind British athletes this weekend as Official Automotive Sponsor of the 2016 Müller Anniversary Games

◾The British manufacturer is providing logistical support for the Games, with British Olympic champion Mo Farah CBE, as well as Jamaican Usain Bolt adorning the opening parade with Nissan vehicles

◾The weekend will see Nissan ambassadors and British Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls setting London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park alight with excitement

London, 22nd July 2016 – Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd will be backing British athletes at the 2016 Müller Anniversary Games this weekend, jump starting the final leg of their journey to the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The automaker is the Official Automotive Sponsor of the 2016 Müller Anniversary Games, which take place at The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford on 22-23 July 2016.

The festivities will kick off on Friday evening when the world's fastest man and Nissan's Global Director of Excitement Usain Bolt will be waving to the crowds from a Nissan NP300 Navaraduring the opening parade at 19.00, before competing in the 200m race. Over the course of the weekend, he will be joined by British Double Olympic Champion Mo Farah CBE and a number of other British athletes, including Nissan's ambassador athletes Lynsey Sharp and Richard Whitehead MBE who will all be adorning four Nissan NP300 Navaras and an all-electric Nissan LEAF, provided by the automaker as logistical support for the Games.

A host of British Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls will be taking part in the two-day event, which promises to be one of the best weekends of athletics this year. Nissan will be there throughout the Games to support its British athlete ambassadors, including Katarina Johnson Thompson, Laura Weightman and David Weir CBE.
