1994 Oldsmobile Achieva Navigation
In 1991, Oldsmobile introduced a new concept car at the Chicago Auto Show that would eventually replace the Calais and enter into production. The concept sat on the same platform and had the same front-wheel drive system as the Cutlass Calais. In 1992, Oldsmobile introduced the Achieva production car which consisted of the S and SL coupes and sedans. The base engine was a four-cylinder 2.3-liter powerplant offering 120 horsepower. The standard gearbox was a five-speed manual transmission while the SL models had a three-speed automatic mated to a 180 horsepower Quad 4 engine. The Series 3300 3.3-liter V-6 engine was available as optional equipment. By 1994, the Oldsmobile Achieve was the company's least expensive vehicle. It was still offered as a coupe and sedan.
