INFINITI U.S. SALES UP NINE PERCENT IN MARCH

Company press release.

INFINITI U.S. SALES UP NINE PERCENT IN MARCHInfiniti today reported U.S. sales of 11,103 units in March, up 9.0 percent from 10,185 units a year earlier. For the year, Infiniti has sold 27,376 vehicles, up 4.4 percent versus 2012.

Contributing to Infiniti's increase in March were its luxury crossovers and sport utility vehicles, which were up 50.9 percent. The Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover, which launched exactly one year ago, had sales of 2,633 units in March, an increase of 387 percent over prior year.

'March was a great month for Infiniti, especially for the JX luxury crossover, and propels us strongly into Spring,' said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Americas. 'Our retailers reported increased traffic for the month, in part thanks to the impact of our corporate partnership with NCAA® Basketball and the Men's Final Four®, and we expect this will continue throughout the summer.'

For the third year in a row, Infiniti continues its corporate sponsorship of the Coaches vs. Cancer program, collaboration between the American Cancer Society® and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), committing up to $700,000 in support. The program empowers coaches, their teams, and communities to help people with cancer today and to find cures to end the disease tomorrow. With this contribution, Infiniti is the largest corporate supporter of Coaches vs. Cancer.

Last week, Infiniti also announced introductory pricing in the U.S. for the all-new Infiniti Q50 luxury sports sedan. Starting at $36,450 USD, the Q50 is designed to stretch the boundaries of what a luxury sports sedan can be, offering advanced features as the world's first Direct Adaptive Steering™. This technology electronically transmits the driver's intentions faster than a mechanical system, while also allowing customization based upon driver preference or road conditions. Buyers can now configure their own Infiniti Q50 at infinitiusa.com/all-new-Q50 for delivery this summer.
