VAUXHALL VANS ARE TOP CHOICE FOR NEWCASTLE CITY COUNCILLuton – Newcastle City Council has ordered 81 Vauxhall Movano and 24 Combo vans.

The Vauxhall Movano provides one of the widest ranges of body variants on the commercial vehicle market, offering a body style for any fleet. Newcastle City Council has taken advantage of this versatility by ordering not only the Movano Panel Van, but the Movano Tipper Cab variant too.

The Movano is known for its innovative technology and functionality, while also offering great value for money and economical running costs, all of which were critical for Newcastle City Council.

Another way in which Newcastle City Council has updated its fleet of vehicles is with the addition of 24 Vauxhall Combo vans. The reliable Combo vans will be used by plumbers and electricians, and for property maintenance.

Newcastle City Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods Councillor Nick Kemp said: 'Having a fleet of reliable and fuel-efficient vehicles is key to delivering high quality services to the residents of Newcastle which they rightly deserve.

'These new vehicles emit lower CO2 emissions which keeps the air that we breathe cleaner while the start/stop technology reduces fuel consumption meaning more money can be spent on public services.'

'We have been working with the team at Bristol Street Motors and we are pleased that Newcastle City Council has chosen Vauxhall to supply its service vehicles,' said Richard Collier, Vauxhall's National Commercial Vehicle and Business-to-Business Sales Manager. 'By choosing the Movano and Combo models, the council has selected vans that are not only versatile but reliable and economical to run too.'

Vauxhall provides ongoing support during the life of the vehicle, so Newcastle City Council can rely on the Vauxhall team and the Bristol Street Motors retailer for any help required.
