The PEUGEOT Expert van scooped yet another award today at the 2018 What Van? Awards. The Expert was named joint 'Medium Van of the Year' 2018 at the ceremony held at The Brewery, London. This is the second year in succession that the Expert has taken the joint award, following its international debut at the 2016 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham.

The What Van?Awards are decided by a panel of expert judges who call on their extensive experience of the van sector to pick the award winners. The awards showcase the best products, companies and services in the van operations sector, rewarding those that make the biggest difference to van operators and drivers across the UK.

The PEUGEOT Expert is available in three overall lengths; Compact, Standard and Long, offering floor lengths between 2.16m and 4.02m long. According to model, the Expert offers a maximum gross payload of 1,498kg. Body options include panel van, crew van and platform cab with a choice of trim levels from S, Professional and Professional Plus.

Generous equipment levels are part of the Expert deal with all panel van models benefitting from a full height steel bulkhead, twin sliding side doors and twin unglazed rear doors. Standard safety equipment includes electronic stability control, remote central locking and driver and passenger airbags. In the cab, the driver's seat is height, rake and reach adjustable and includes lumbar adjustment and a fold down armrest. A dual passenger seat with storage tray is also standard, along with cruise control with variable speed limiter, front electric windows and a full size spare wheel. All models also come with DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB socket and audio jack with a 12-volt power point in the cabin.

The popular Expert Professional includes a wider range of equipment including air conditioning, rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, Moduwork front passenger bench seat with load-through bulkhead, as well as storage space below the seat. Professional models also gain an alarm. Automatic lights and windscreen wipers are part of the package along with a PEUGEOT Connect Radio, 7-inch touchscreen, Mirror Link for enhanced smartphone connectivity and coffee break alert.

The range of body sizes and styles means the Expert delivers the goods for every van customer. At the same time, sales have climbed by over 30 per cent in a market that has fallen on average by 11 per cent in 2017.'
