1974 Plymouth Satellite

The 1974 Plymouth Satellite was part of the Intermediate size group and was very similar to the 1973 version. Plymouth gave the Satellite only minor changes including to the grille. On either side of the grille were dual headlamps enclosed in bright metal rectangular housings. Body styles included Coupes, Hardtop Coupes, Sedan, and 6- and 9-Passenger wagons in various trim levels.

Standard features on the Satellite included a locking glovebox, hubcaps, vinyl interior trim, cigar lighter, and dome lamp. They also had rubber floor coverings, belted blackwall tires, and a 225-CID six-cylinder engine or a 318 CID two-barrel V8. Station wagons, which included the Custom and Regent trim levels, had power front disc brakes, and two-way tailgate concealed storage compartment. The Regent trim level had Deluxe wheel covers, woodgrain exterior paneling, vinyl bench seat, and three-way tailgate.

The Sebring trim level added dual horns, foam cushions in the front, carpets, bias-belted tires, cigar lighter, and drip rail molding. Sebring Plus came with additional amenities including vinyl interior with bucket seats, Deluxe wheel covers, and body-side moldings.

The Road Runner was a 2-door Coupe that came with a three-speed floor shift manual transmission, heavy-duty suspension and brakes, Rally instrument cluster, dual exhaust, upgraded tires, carpets, performance hood, three-speed wipers, and dual horns. The iconic Road Runner emblems could be found on the center pillar.
