1982 AMC Concord

The AMC Concord was produced from 1977 through 1983. The compact car served as a replacement for the AMC Hornet and wore styling courtesy of Richard A. Teague.

For 1982, styling remained mostly unchanged from their 1981 counterparts. The Limited and DL coupes had their vertical strakes removed on their Landau vinyl roofs. A new 5-speed manual was available as optional equipment. Fitted with the 151 cubic-inch engine, the Concord was able to achieve up to 37 mpg on the highway. Two other changes, both as fuel economy measures, were wider gear ratios for the three-speed automatic and low-drag disc brakes.
