Completely redesigned for the 2020 model year, the 2021 Nissan TITAN checks all the boxes for power, capability, technology, safety features and reliability – plus bold Nissan style and innovation. All told, the 2021 TITAN features the most standard power, technology and safety features in its class1.

Every 2021 TITAN comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield® 360 technology, a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems, and America's Best Truck Warranty5, featuring bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first (includes basic and powertrain coverage).

Powerful performance with best-in-class standard horsepower and torque 2021 Nissan Titan
The 2021 TITAN is powered by Nissan's 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine rated at 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. Both horsepower and torque ratings are best-in-class2 for standard powertrains (premium fuel required).

The engine is mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission with a large final gear ratio of 3.692:1– providing smooth, fast acceleration. The 9-speed gear range also means excellent coverage for optimal power for both standing starts and confident highway passing

The engine features Nissan's VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology, which combines hydraulic-controlled variable valve timing and electronically controlled variable valve lift on the intake side to provide high performance and crisp response. The Endurance® V8 also features Direct Injection Gas (DIG™) technology, which provides better wide-open throttle performance and improved fuel economy and emissions performance (versus a non-direct-injection system) by reducing engine knock, improving combustion stability and offering precise injection control.

Every TITAN also utilizes a durable chassis design, starting with the fully boxed, full-length ladder frame. The front suspension is a double-wishbone design, while a rigid rear axle suspension utilizes hefty leaf springs and leaf bushings, along with twin-tube shock absorbers. Hefty stabilizer bars are utilized front and rear. PRO-4X models feature Bilstein mono-tube off-road shocks. Hydraulic cab-mounts help isolate occupants from the chassis.

Braking is provided by a 4-wheel disc system with 13.78 x 1.2-inch front/13.58 x 0.8-inch rear ventilated discs front and rear with hydraulic power assist. The high brake fluid pressure generated by an electric pump assists brake pedal force for a confident feel. Responsive steering is provided by a rack-and-pinion steering system.

Nissan TITAN 4x4 models feature a transfer case designed to ensure maximum power distribution in every gear. It distributes torque to both ends and provides four-wheel drive when added traction is needed on snow, ice, sand, mud, dirt, water or gravel.

Durable off-road performance has also been emphasized, with features such as Hill Descent Control (PRO-4X only), Hill Start Assist, Brake Limited-Slip Differential and available electronic locking rear differential (PRO-4X).

Every 2021 TITAN features an Off-Road Gauge that displays the vehicle's tire angle, relative pitch and roll angles. Without using a gyroscope, a method was developed to calculate the vehicle's orientation using accelerometer data and calculating the vehicle's G-force.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 with class-exclusive standard Rear Automatic Braking

The 2021 TITAN is a showcase for Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, starting with standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 – a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems. Safety Shield 360 includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and class-exclusive standard Rear Automatic Braking3.
TITAN also features a number of other advanced technologies, including standard class-exclusive Intelligent Forward Collision Warning4, which uses a radar sensor located in the front of the truck to detect the distances between the two cars ahead, as well as their relative speed, thus allowing the system to assess the situation in front of the vehicle.

Other available technologies include Intelligent Around View® Monitor6, Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Driver Alertness7 and Traffic Sign Recognition. Nissan's patented Rear Door Alert8 system is standard on all grade levels. The 2021 TITAN includes eight air bags and four seat belt pretensioners.

First-class interior with available high-resolution 9.0-inch touchscreen

2021 Nissan TitanThe sense of commanding technology continues into the 2021 TITAN interior, which combines first-class accommodations with a sense of crafted detailing and premium finishes.

TITAN's 8.0-inch center area display is the largest standard screen in the class9, while the available Integrated Command Center with 9.0-inch touchscreen features WXGA resolution – higher than HD. It serves as the gateway to the TITAN's next-generation connectivity that includes standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The internal Wi-Fi router allows passengers to stream their favorite content (Wi-Fi data subscription required, sold separately). Úp to seven devices can be connected.

A 7.0-inch programmable driver information display is nearly three inches larger than most competitors' displays and helps ensure that customers can access meaningful vehicle information easily and clearly.

TITAN Crew Cab model occupants are treated to an available Dual Panel Panoramic Moonroof, the first offered on TITAN, measuring over three-feet square.

Standard with NissanConnect® in the 2021 TITAN is the class-exclusive10 Nissan Concierge, which provides owners 24-hour access to a live assistants at the push of a button from inside the vehicle, or outside via email, text or the NissanConnect Services App. Nissan Concierge assistants can help with a range of tasks like restaurant reservations, appointment scheduling, wake up calls and even personal shopping for event tickets or a special gift.

NissanConnect® allows over-the-air (OTA) software updates, and offers safety and security features, HD Traffic and Google Places/Search. Also available on the 2021 TITAN is NissanConnect Services, a suite of convenience and security features that provide assistance when owners need it most – including remote access features and emergency response services. NissanConnect Services can be accessed from inside the vehicle, on a computer, on a smartphone or smartwatch app and with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The available Fender® Premium Audio System includes 12 speakers with Crew Cab and 10 speakers on King Cab. The Fender® Bassman Subwoofer helps drive energetic, powerful bass response with ear-pleasing precision. The system's 485-watt, 9-channel amplifier with Panasonic's proprietary Acoustic Motion Control™, which renders the reverberation and ambience of original recordings with stunning realism.

Every TITAN includes front and rear outboard Zero Gravity seats that help maximize posture positioning for enhanced comfort during long distance driving. Heating and cooling front seats are available. Heated front and rear seats are available in both cloth and leather-appointed trim levels.

The 2021 TITAN's first-class interior accommodations include specially selected seat and trim materials and finishers for each grade level. Interior storage has also been enhanced, including an innovative flexible smartphone holder/charging system. Elsewhere, additional assist grips allow for more assistance getting in and out of the vehicle.

A bold, confident redesigned exterior

2021 Nissan Titan
Last year's TITAN redesign was led by a team at Nissan Design America in La Jolla, Calif., the creators of both the original TITAN and the second generation designs. Following a theme of 'Powerful Warrior,' the designers emphasized the truck's solid-beam construction and commanding presence with high-gravity lighting and the interlocking grille inspired by the distinctive TITAN warrior mask.

The 2021 TITAN lineup offers unique grille designs to give each TITAN a powerful look and a higher degree of differentiation among grade levels – allowing for different expressions straight from the factory. A distinctive bright chrome grille graces the front of the TITAN SL. The Platinum Reserve is more restrained with a satin chrome finish on the grille and the TITAN PRO-4X is the most dramatic with a black grille centered around the first-ever Nissan badge scripted in lava red. The lava red color accents continue on the tow hooks of the rugged PRO-4X.

The headlights produce around 120 percent more light output in low beam than the previous TITAN design, giving the driver a much better view of both ahead and the sides of the road. The available LED fog lights add another 15 degrees of visibility on each side of the TITAN's front end, and High Beam Assist, which allows drivers to leave the light stalk in high beam position indefinitely without blinding drivers or pedestrians, is standard.

TITAN's pickup bed features full surround lighting with four LED sources – making it easier to use at night or in early morning. The rear exterior design includes LED lights and unique tailgate finishers. Just as the grilles feature unique personalities for each trim, TITAN PRO-4X features a black finisher, while Platinum Reserve utilizes a satin chrome finisher.

TITAN Crew Cab features a standard 5.5-foot bed, while the TITAN King Cab and TITAN XD Crew Cab include a 6.5-foot bed. Nissan's popular Útili-track® Bed Channel System features the most bed rails in its class11 as well as four heavy-duty aluminum alloy cleats that move and lock anywhere along the walls, providing the user endless tie-down possibilities.

Dual lockable in-bed 'TITAN Box' storage boxes, available as an accessory on TITAN Crew Cab Platinum Reserve, sit sight-unseen at street level and can hold a wide range of essential work and recreational equipment. Other TITAN bed features include a standard spray-in bedliner, 110-volt in-bed access and a damped tailgate that is light to lift and smoothly damped when lowering.

A total of eight available exterior colors are available: Red Alert, Super Black, Baja Storm (premium color), Cardinal Red Metallic (premium color), Gun Metallic, Pearl White TriCoat (premium color), Glacier White and Deep Blue Pearl.

TITAN XD delivers purpose-built hauling capability

When towing and hauling is the mission, buyers can step up to the 2021 TITAN XD, which offers the comfort of a light-duty truck with the towing confidence of a heavy-duty hauler.
Every TITAN XD model is built on a unique frame and chassis (compared to the TITAN). The fully boxed, full-length ladder frame is extensively reinforced and strengthened for TITAN XD to provide added stiffness, vertical and lateral bending, and torsional rigidity.
TITAN XD also features an extended 151.6-inch wheelbase – about 15 inches longer than TITAN models (Crew Cab comparison). Compared to the standard TITAN, XD is three inches taller, 11.8 inches longer in wheelbase and 14.8 inches longer overall. The extra length includes a full-size 6.5 foot bed and the unique XD frame.

The TITAN XD shares the standard TITAN half-ton's 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine, rated at 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, along with the 9-speed automatic transmission. (posted on conceptcarz.com) The axle is a large, purpose-built design. The rear differential measures 9.84 inches with 3.5-inch axle tubes, while the front differential measures 9.25 inches. Both are manufactured by American Axle.

TITAN XD uses a heavy-duty suspension to maximize stability, handling and ride comfort. The double-wishbone with stabilizer bar front suspension is reinforced and tuned for hard use, and the rigid rear axle suspension utilizes hefty leaf springs and leaf bushings, along with twin-tube shock absorbers.

Braking is provided by a robust 4-wheel disc system with 14.2 x 1.5-inch front/14.4 x 1.2-inch rear ventilated discs with hydraulic power assist. The high brake fluid pressure generated by an electric pump assists brake pedal force for a confident feel.

Helping TITAN XD owners take advantage of its ample towing power are a range of available hitches – including an integrated gooseneck hitch engineered into the frame and easily accessible in the bed. The integrated gooseneck hitch includes a plug inside the bed for even greater ease of towing.

Among the list of TITAN and TITAN XD's available towing aids are an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Trailer Sway Control, Tow/Haul Mode with Downhill Speed Control and a Trailer Light Check system that allows one-person hook-up operation – checking turn signals, brake lights and running/clearance lights from inside the cab or with the key fob.

TITAN and TITAN XD owners have a host of tools to assist with trailer hook-ups. This includes an available RearView Monitor12 with Trailer Guides and Nissan's Intelligent Around View® Monitor6 that provides a composite 'bird's eye' view of the surrounding area from front, rear and side cameras to help with tight parking or even off-roading at low speeds. The system also includes Moving Object Detection, which helps alert the driver to detected moving objects around the vehicle via an on-screen notification and warning chime.

All of the overbuilt components and trailer-assist technologies allow the TITAN XD to tow up to 11,040 lbs. when properly equipped (over 1,600 lbs. more towing than TITAN)13 and haul up to 2,240 lbs. payload (560 lbs. more than TITAN)14, making it the towing TITAN of choice among the family of trucks (with gooseneck trailer hitch). TITAN offers an available maximum towing capacity of 9,310 pounds and maximum payload capacity of 1,680 pounds when properly equipped.
