(MAHWAH, N.J.) - April 10, 2014 - Iconic British car manufacturer Jaguar and Wallpaper*, the world's leading design and style magazine, continue their unique partnership at Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy. Along with Jaguar's all new F-TYPE Coupe, six newly commissioned design pieces, all created by renowned designers, will be exhibited at the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibition from April 8-12, 2014 at Leclettico.

The six new pieces, each representing an avant-garde take on Jaguar's contemporary design, creativity and technology, have been commissioned by Wallpaper* especially for the touring Handmade exhibition.

Julian Thomson, Jaguar Advanced Design Director said, 'The partnership with Wallpaper* is a great opportunity to apply Jaguar design philosophy in new forms and to inspire a culturally diverse audience. It is exciting to see these pieces exhibited alongside the Jaguar F-TYPE and C-X17 concept car, which represent the latest in Jaguar design and advanced technology.'

One brand new piece, an aluminum coffee table called 'DCJ' (De Cotiis Jaguar) created by celebrated Italian designer Vincenzo de Cotiis, has been specifically commissioned for the Milan exhibition at Leclettico. The aluminum piece has been inspired by Jaguar's all-new intelligent aluminum architecture, engineered to create class leading quality, durability and reliability. A Jaguar owner himself, De Cotiis describes his table as a 'gioco ad incastri', an interlocking puzzle of pieces inspired by the car's engine, where each element is irreplaceable. The three aluminum parts are given different finishes and the result is a dynamic celebration of speed and craftsmanship.

Jaguar recently announced the launch of its new mid-sized premium sports sedan, the Jaguar XE, which will be the first product from the new advanced aluminum architecture. Set to be unveiled later this year, the Jaguar XE will be the first aluminum monocoque vehicle in the segment.

During Salone del Mobile, Jaguar's concept vehicle C-X17, the brand's first sports crossover featuring the all-new aluminum architecture, will be on display at the Jaguar Land Rover flagship store at Corso Sempione. The C-X17 blends the seductive design and intelligent performance that are hallmarks of Jaguar, while delivering the benefits of a crossover's assured driving position and high levels of flexibility.

The C-X17 will be complemented by two Wallpaper* pieces, 'Wild Feast', by award-winning, Shanghai-based architects Neri & Hu and 'Diptych: Landscape II' installation by London-based design studio Fredrikson Stallard

Five pieces were originally made for the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibition at London's luxury department store Harrods last October, by designers Fredrikson Stallard, Moritz Waldemeyer, Mathieu Gustafsson, architects Neri & Hu and marble specialist Salvatori Hot. They were subsequently shown at Art Basel in Miami in December 2013, before heading to Design Shanghai in China last month.
