1974 Mercedes-Benz 280C

The 280 Mercedes was available as a two-door coupe and four-door sedan. (concept carz) The car came standard with a host of features such as: air conditioning, tinted windows and a central locking system. Mercedes' catalogue for the year focused on safety issues. It stated that the company had 'been concerned with automobile safety long before the public discussion began on the subject.' Approximately 37,000 Mercedes Benz passenger cars were exported to the Únited States during 1974.
