PORSCHE REPORTS JUNE SALES – UP 12.6% OVER 2013
August 3, 2014 by PorscheAtlanta. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor in the United States of Porsche 918 Spyder, 911, Boxster and Cayman sports cars, Macan and Cayenne SUVs and the Panamera four-door sports sedan line-up, today announced July 2014 sales of 4,300 vehicles. During the first seven months of 2014, PCNA has delivered 27,219 vehicles in the U.S., an increase of 8.3 percent over last year (25,129). July was noteworthy for a number of reasons aside from setting another monthly sales record. 'We just announced the arrival of the new generation of our Cayenne range this fall, including the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment', said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO, Porsche Cars North America. 'So it is gratifying to recognize that the current Cayenne hasn't lost its appeal and keeps up its sales momentum.' The attractiveness of Porsche products doesn't stop with the Cayenne. Last month the sports car manufacturer was recognized as the number one brand in this year's J.D. Power and Associates APEAL Study for the tenth consecutive year with the Cayenne, 911, and Boxster garnering top honors in their respective segments. Deliveries of 1,546 Cayenne SUVs in July were on par with last year's sales of 1,563. The sporty Macan recorded July sales of 952 and has reached a share of over ten percent of the year's total sales volume in only its third month on the market. Finally, the limited edition super sports car 918 Spyder was delivered to the very first U.S. customers with the numbers expected to increase over the coming months. Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales in the U.S. were 996 for July 2014, an increase of 23 percent from the same period last year.
