1953 Siata Berlina Prototype

1953 Siata Berlina Prototype 1953 Siata Berlina Prototype 1953 Siata Berlina Prototype Unique in its own right, the SIATA Berlina Prototype epitomizes luxury touring as done by the best Italian style makers of the early 1950s. This Bertone-bodied Prototype was completed in October 1952 and shown that fall at the Paris Auto Show.

SIATA built approximately 50 cars in the early 1950s powered by FIAT's 2-litre, 8-V motor. The vehicle is equipped with a 4-speed transmission and has independent suspension front and rear. The Berlina is built on a lengthened (8 inch) SIATA coupe chassis allowing adequate room for 4 adults and their luggage.

The vehicle was resold in 1955, driven for 3-4 years, and then sat in storage for 30 years. During this storage, the vehicle suffered severe water damage when a snowstorm collapsed the roof of the storage warehouse.

This SIATA Berlina has now undergone a total restoration, returning the car to original in all respects. You are seeing the vehicle as it was shown in 1952-1953, original colors, et al. One very unusual aspect of the vehicle is its tires and wheels. These are the original un-restored 50+-year-old tires and wheels.
