INFINITI SALES UP 11.4 PERCENT IN SEPTEMBER
Company press release.•Luxury Automaker's Best September in Five Years; Fifth Straight Month of Double-Digit Sales Growth FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Infiniti today reported U.S. sales of 9,445 units for September, an increase of 11.4 percent versus 8,479 units a year earlier. This marked Infiniti's best September performance since 2007. Calendar year-to-date Infiniti sales of 86,596 are up 20.0 percent compared to the 72,181 units sold during the same period last year. Infiniti sales highlights for the month include: •Infiniti FX sales of 1,659 marked an increase of 127.6 percent this month, with the luxury performance crossover showing an increase of 5.7 percent, to 7,462 units for the year. •Sales of the new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover totaled 2,251 in September, and 14,353 units have been sold since deliveries began in March. •Infiniti luxury crossovers and sport utility vehicles had an increase of 107 percent in September, and are up 63.6 percent for year. •In total, Infiniti September sales were the best in five years and marked five straight months of double-digit increases. 'September was another great month for Infiniti, with lots of traffic in our showrooms,' said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Americas. 'Luxury buyers have made our new Infiniti JX the second best-selling model in our line, and deliveries of the 2013 Infiniti FX, with its newly available 3.7-liter engine, began during the month as well.' The V6-equipped 2013 Infiniti FX37 luxury performance crossover now has 325-horsepower, up from the previous FX35's 303-horsepower, while also increasing fuel economy to 24 mpg on the highway. The FX37 is also available in a special Limited Edition with a Moonlight White pearl exterior and exclusive charcoal-colored 21-in. wheels, while the V8-engine Infiniti FX50 continues with 390-horsepower.
