The Suzuki RS-3 Concept was first shown to the public at the 1985 Tokyo Motor Show. It was a development of the RS-1 and was another stepping stone toward the company's desire to create a mid-engine sports car for volume production. The RS-3 followed, in many ways, the design of the RS-1 but incorporated the necessary safety features to meet Japanese safety regulations.
