The 1981 Volkswagen Scirocco was available as a Coupe or as the S Coupe. There were minimal modifications and changes for 1981. Power was from a 1588cc overhead-valve four-cylinder engine offering around 75 horsepower. The European version had a turbocharged four. Pricing began at $8,100 for the Coupe and an additional $700 for the S Coupe.
