1967 Lola T-90 1967 Lola T-90 1967 Lola T-90 Lola Racing Cars (Lola Cars International) was founded in 1961 by Eric Broadley in Huntingdon, England. Lola was one of the top chassis suppliers in sports car racing in the 1960's. This 1967 Lola T-90 Mark II was imported from Lola Cars Ltd. in England to Mecum Racing Enterprises in the spring of 1967. It was driven by Al Unser Sr. with crew chief George Bignotti. The team qualified 9th for the 1967 Indy 500 and when the checkered flag dropped Al Unser Sr. had brought the car home to a 2nd place finish. They also finished 2nd at the Langhorne 100 and Phoenix 200 that year. For 1968 the car got a new red paint job with driving duties shared by Al Unser Sr. and Art Pollard. Al Unser Sr. won both Langhorne Twin 100s and Art Pollard wheeled the car to a 6th place finish at the Michigan 250. This car was restored to its 1967 Indy livery in 2015.
